Charity Mission
Inspiration Without Discrimination
Skool of Street was established in 2013 in Blackpool by a group of passionate Artist practising Hip Hop Arts in the area. We are an Urban Collective and offer workshops, lessons, Arts experiences and performance opportunities. We aim to break down barriers of social exclusion, and offer everyone the opportunity to get involved. No matter your background, ability or skill level...There is a place for you in our collective!
Skool of Street is a registered Charity (charity no:1167310). We obtain funding to support our projects, meaning that our training is accessible to all.
We teach and educate Hip-Hop culture, Hip-Hop and Street Dance, Break dance, Beatboxin', Graffiti, Physical Theatre, Spoken word, music production, Emcee, and DJ-ing. We celebrate individuality and expression and encourage members to be themselves, whilst maintaining a supportive environment for this process to happen, and striving for individual Artistic development.
Skool of Street collaborates with other Dance company's and Arts organisations to create Theatrical productions that tell exciting stories through Dance. We strive to deliver high quality performances that change perceptions of Hip Hop. The Art forms are very empowering and it is our aim to engage other people in this form of expression by thrilling them in The Theatre.
